Department of Performing Arts students staged their first junior project in the FMPA Chamber Theater in the last week of 2018. The play was directed by State Theater Head Director Hakan Çimenser, who joined the Department of Performing Arts as part-time faculty this year.
Written by the contemporary American playwright Israel Horovitz, the play tells 6 stories from 6 hotel rooms located in different parts of the world. Characters from different backgrounds suffer from prejudices and communication problems. 6 Hotels involves art, love, politics, comedy and drama and explores if people can overcome their troubles to forge meaningful connections.
The play was translated into Turkish by Özlem Turhal. Costume design is by Gözde Yavuz, set design is by Özlem Gezgin, lighting design is by Yılmaz Ertekin and poster design is by Arin Özmen. Cast members are Damla Makar, Ege Derin, Haydar Özkan, Kutay Karagülle, Oğuzhan Keskin, Rengim Melis Köse, Toygun Elaldı. Performances took place on December 19, 21, 24, 25, 26, 28. Ext. 1775
