Faysal is an international actor-director, deviser and teaching artist. He graduated from Bilkent University Theatre Department in 2017. His teaching career started during his undergraduate studies in 2015, when he taught Viola Spolin Improvisation at the Bilkent Theatre for Kids Program. In the summer of 2016, he went to China to study Beijing Opera at Shanghai Theatre Academy.
After graduating, he co-founded Sahne 367, where he directed and performed in various productions. He participated in Gardzienice’s 40th Anniversary Festival in 2017 in Lublin, Poland. In 2019 he received a Fulbright Master’s Grant to pursue physical theatre studies in the U.S. He completed his MFA in Devised Performance at the University of the Arts/Pig Iron School in 2024. During his studies, he had the opportunity to work with the master clown teacher Giovanni Fusetti. In 2023, he co-founded Red Nosed Roommates in Philadelphia and created various clown projects. He was awarded the BIPOC New Work Track by Cannonball to produce and direct the play Misket as an immersive experience at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival.
He taught Lecoq and Theatrical Creation classes for undergraduates at Uarts. Additionally, he has worked as a panelist at the Cannonball Festival and as a recruiter at Pig Iron Theatre Company. His theatrical work mainly focuses on physical theatre, ensemble theatre making, Devising and Le Jeu.
