She graduated from Ankara State Conservatory in 1974 as a student of Molly and Travis Kemp (instructor and choreographer). In the same year, she started working as a solo dancer at Ankara State Opera and Ballet. She worked with many world-renowned instructors and choreographers.

In addition, due to her inclination towards modern dance, she started modern dance studies with Merce Cunningham and Geyvan Mcmillan. Later, in addition to her classical ballet studies, she started to dance in the Contemporary Dance Ensemble with Geyvan Mcmillan. She popularized this dance form, which was first introduced as a group, throughout the country with various tours.

The Contemporary Dance Ensemble continued to work between 1975 and 1979. In 1976, with the support of Duygu Aykal and Geyvan McMillan, she started to work on choreography in addition to her dancing. She made her first choreography attempt in 1976 for the opera Don Giovanni at the Ankara State Opera and Ballet. Subsequently, she created ballet works for television, theater, fashion-show, State Ballet and Modern Dance Company. She participated in workshops on contemporary creativity with many world-renowned instructors and choreographers in Turkey and abroad. In 1991, she became the chief choreographer of Ankara State Opera and Ballet. During this period, he initiated the establishment of the modern dance unit for the first time within the State Ballet. Established in 1992,s he worked as a choreographer and member of the artistic board in this unit until 2000. She is currently the choreographer of the State Opera and Ballet.
