We are very proud to host our 10th Annual International University Theatre Festival at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey this year from June 23 to 29, 2024.

Our previous festivals have been very enriching and rewarding for everyone involved.

Our festival was inspired by International Bilkent Theatre Meeting held in 1993 and 1996 respectively. In 2012, it was established as an annual student-organized festival to invite all theatre majors from Turkey to share their latest school projects and plays in Bilkent University Theatre Department stage. Starting from 2014, our festival has become international. Each year we have continuously renewed our mission to gather not only all theatre departments from Turkey, but also have hosted theater departments from universities around the world, here in Bilkent, in the city of Ankara, capital of Turkey. 

For this festival, our university provides housing, continental breakfast and lunches, and airport transfers for international participants. Our previous international guests include universities from China, Colombia, Iran, Israel, Macedonia, South Korea, USA, Northern Cypress and Bulgaria.

Our festival aims to celebrate our universal passion for theatre and share our experiences together as one global artistic family.

We hope to encourage future collaborations and friendships that will thrive and last a lifetime.We look forward to receiving your application and hope to see you at this year’s festival.
