Korhan Basaran holds a BA from Bilkent University’s Theater Department and an MBA in art management from Yeditepe University, he is the Artistic Director of his company RAu. After having completed a 10 year of a professional career in Turkey, upon moving to NYC, he received a scholarship from the Cunningham Studio.

He had the pleasure to dance with the Repertory Group of the Cunningham Company dir. Robert Swinston. He has studied and danced with various choreographers over the years in Istanbul and New York. Bringing out his voice has been his passion since the beginning. His works have been commissioned by BAM’s Dance Motion USA, Nimbus Dance Works, Mari Meade DC, Project 44, Boston Conservatory at Berklee in the US and MDT, Akbank Sanat, Tatbikat Sahnesi in Turkey.
